A pitch black darkness surrounds all, giving the shadows the whole world as their playground..
An eerie silence all around me, broken by the sound of rustling leafs and the whispers of the cold harsh wind.
The Mistress of the night, Lady Moon, is dancing with the clouds in the sky. She's shedding silent tears for the hearts of the broken and the abandoned and tries her best to comfort them as best as she can.
Alas, her embrace is a cold heartless one no matter how hard she tries.
She shines her light on a patch of blue flowers next to me.
The flowers aren't that pretty- in fact they're not pretty at all.
Petals ripped and bug bitten, buds and leafs torn away, imperfect in every way.
Probably an amateur because someone gifted would not leave such a scenery behind him or her.
'But someone obviously took care of them, otherwise they wouldn't have grown' I thought to myself.
I started taking care of them, helping the broken ones stand using some sticks and strands of my dress..I wasn't going to need that dress anymore anyways, so why not help them?
The flowers now looked like they were singing in the moon's light, much happier than before.
While watering them I could see glimpses of a pink dress and little delicate hands.
Not far away from the flower patch a teddy bear sat alone in a puddle, its sad cold eyes staring at the flowers.
I picked it up and put it next to the flowers.
'There you are sweetie..no one should be alone in a night like this.'
Images of eyes full of fear and silent screams flashed through my mind as I watched the scene before me.
By now, all the clouds in the sky had ran away.
The Mistress of the Night was now shining as much as she could upon each and every thing around me.
I started humming away a song, because its words were long forgotten by time.
My scythe glowed of dirty silver and crimson red, and the people behind me actually looked happy, so neatly arranged and dressed up~
Not a spot of blood on their clothes yet they were sitting in a pool of blood..
The blood mirrored all the trees and shadows around them, adding a touch of black to their oh so colorful garments, full of glitter and feathers.
Their masks were torn away and laid shattered nearby. No more lies, no more acting, just the one universal truth..
